How to Play UNO
UNO is a card game based on the public domain card game Crazy Eights. It is a game that has lived on shelves and in the nostalgic memories for decades and decades. Many people who play UNO have often changed, adapted or house ruled the game over time.
In this video we examine some of the widely overlooked rules to this game and we explore how this game was meant to be played. Some of these rules you may be familiar with and others you may not even know. This video aims to shed some light over the official rules for the original intention of the game.
The aim in a game of UNO is for players to empty their entire hand of cards throughout each round of gameplay. The winner of each round then gains points equal to the face up value of the cards remaining in their opponent’s hands. The first player over several rounds to accumulate 500 points wins the game.
The Board Game Sanctuary is a family friendly board game channel that aims to introduce the board gaming hobby to new and seasoned players in a light, fun and humourous way.

Um. Where the hell did the 0 card come from?
I played a helluva lot of Uno when I was somewhat younger and don't remember it going to zero or the rule about swapping hands and we tried playing with the instructions rules a few times.
I always tell these rules to everybody but no one believes me😒Also the +2 rule seems pretty weird cause I'm pretty sure nobody takes it seriously
Ssesee
You don't have to say uno out it's not a rule
You are wrong dislike you can change the rule for example everything stack stacking jump in bla bla bla
question:
if you play a +4 card can the next stack it with another +4, +2, or reverse?
Who TF would bother counting the points? no matter how you play it, while playing with family or when drinking with friends. Counting will suck all the fun out of the playing.
Standard and official rules exist but all games/rules are literally just made up..
Why not make your own and have fun?
the rules are right but explaining it to your friends is hel
What to do when I have 0 card as a second last card ?

So you can't put a draw 2 card ontop of a draw 2 card to avoid picking up 2 cards so the next player has to pick up 4 cards? That's mind-blowing all this time we've been doing that
Stop making up rules
Thanx! I prefer to play official UNO with other households because I sometimes I dont know or dont like their “house rules”. Cheers
There’s scoring?!
In uno flip, change the flip card to a draw 4 and don't flip.
The game can go for hour's 😂

But the mother fuckers i play with will still stack the +2s like bricks. it's all fun and games until you have to pick 8 cards
Important question: can you end with an action or powercard. Or does it always have to be a numerical card?
If you have to draw two further cards from the previous player's +2 card, what happens if those two extra cards are both the same color already on the center stack?
Great clarification video. You forgot one more, however:
By the official rules of UNO, you may not willingly draw more than 1 card per turn ("willingly" being without a Draw <n> card forcing you to). So if you draw a card that cannot be played, instead of drawing more cards, you skip your turn entirely.
Rule 4 is one of the most interesting rules that people refuse to accept in Uno. This completely changes the dynamic of the game because now you're not only playing Uno, you're also playing High Risk Poker.
InTRO was so fUNNY 0:09 😂
I have a question for everyone and the creator. Can you put a +4 on a reverse card or 2 totally different cards?
Bruh, NO ONE plays using the points system. Just play a few rounds until we’re done with it. lol
Thanks a lot, I traumatized my friends in UNO
I swear, none of my friends is gonna fall for rule 7.
My favorite rules for uno are:
7 0 swapping (or just 0 swapping)
Draw 4 stacking and draw 2 stacking
Challenging draw 4s
Draw until useable card
Official rules are so boring
I am only watching as I am not sure how I should put my Uno cards back in their box, please show me and others, may ask the same, thank you.
The points don’t matter anymore -_-
I started at 22 now its 5 30 am
Hello! Question: if player 1 puts a wild card and chooses a color can second player put a wild card on top of precious wild card and in that instance will the second wild card is used as a usual card or as a wild? Meaning will the second player choose a color? Thank you.
Player 2: gives Player 1 10 extra cards
Player 1: has basically the whole deck
I think most people do stacking because its just more fun.
Answer this argument for me…..i have 2cards left 1 red & a draw 4 card the player to my left plays a wild card changes the colour to red & calls UNO(so obviously they have a red card) why can’t I use my draw4 to change the colour? Oh because I have a red card…..what sort of a dumb rule is that, i can stop the other player from winning but as i have the same colour card i can’t use my draw 4?any thoughts on this situation please
3:08 as shown, you may play a +4 even if you have a matching number card
Rule 0: house rules do apply.
Bro this is waste of timeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴😴💤💤💤💤 where is the house rule Mr chin
0:15 – Seven! Hahahahaha! UNO!!!
We always play stack em rule with the plus 2 and the plus 4.

Frick points
I'll about points, as long I'm playing, it is discard your cards simulator
Fun fact if you want to make uno harder you can change up the rules+2 +4 stacking 7 0 switch jump in force play no bluffing
I have a question, if you are using the House Rule: Stacking, are you allowed to stack a +4 on a +2? Or +2 on a +4?
should’ve named this video : 7 rules in UNO that your friends will ignore even after you showed them proof of their existence
