  1. Thanks for the tutorial! i found a machine called LCD hearts by Excalibur at a yard sale and did not know how to play, but now i do!

  2. Here's what I don't understand. Why would you ever play your highest card? If you play your highest card…you "win" the trick…except..if you win a trick you get all the cards and points…which means…you will lose the game. Seems best to always play your lowest and never win. Then…you actually win. What am I missing?

I'd think if the goal is to have no points, then the player with the worst card should take the trick, thus giving them the most points causing them to lose.

  3. When we played this Shooting the Moon either assigned 26 points to all other players or you got to reduce your own score by 26 points.

See you didn't talk about Shooting the Sun. To Shoot the Sun you have to win every trick in the round. If you do so you reduce your score by 52 points.

  4. GatherTogetherGames, what are your three favorite card games, execpt Canasta and Bridge?

  5. This kind of sounds familiar to the game of Spades but is more like a suicide game where you want to score the least amount of points to win. That's if I'm understanding correctly. Sounds interesting but complex at the same time.

  6. What If I cheat and said I cant follow suit to get rid of my hearts?

  7. Thank you for this information video! Enjoyed the music as well!

  8. Thank you for the video! It was really helpful!

  9. What if any player left with few only hearts card and queen of spades then which card should he thew

  10. What about the option of subtracting 26 point from your score rather than giving 26 points to your three opponents?

  11. i thought that you should get highest number to win. hihi

  12. Is this the same game the Marines play called "Hunt the cu*t"

  13. What happens if the highest card eg king is played by 2 players? How do u decide who takes the cards?

  14. Do all white people or western people play confusing card games like these?

If so I want to stay there for a while just to play these cards; for I'm the only Maths person in my Indian family and they are all rejecting this game and game of Spades so I have no one to play with 🙁

  15. Avoid getting the “Queen of Spades and getting “Cards of Hearts!” If you don’t get both of that, you “Shoot the Moon.”
Also beginning the game, pass 3 cards.

  16. This guy knows how to help to learn Cards by demonstration… Kudos 🙏

  17. Can you please tell me what do you mean by "LEAD SUIT". And please give another example.
    P.S. A beginner here 😛

  18. Too low your voice, too high the music. Suggest you balance them cause uncomfortable to be adjusting the volume. Nice explanation. Thanks.

  19. The gun range has a target of randomized playing cards. I want to dump an entire box of 50 rounds on the queen of spades. But I think that's what she wants. And I don't want to give her the satisfaction.

  20. I’m only here because I’m reading “Hearts in Atlantis” by Stephen King.

  21. 2:08 *Passes Jack, Queen, and Ace of hearts"
This'll get you shot in Vegas.

  22. Why is that in the beginner section ? I would say its medium.

  23. Wait… But do you want the tricks or not???

  24. Can we reach 1M subs with no videos? says:

    Those were the days

  25. Does the first card played have to be the 2 of clubs?

  26. Million Dollar Potential in Ruvol

I have invented a Board Game [still unpublished and not yet out in the market] that is guaranteed to be far more challenging and exciting than CHESS. I called it “RUVOL.”

Over time, Ruvol will surpass chess as the “Number One Board Game in the World.”

Why am I so sure about this? Because I am an avid chess player myself.

The weakness of chess is it always starts in fixed positions that the opening moves become “memorizable.” In fact, not a few have so mastered the moves that they can play against their opponents “blindfolded.” It is for this very reason that the great Bobby Fischer introduced his so-called “Fischer Random Chess,” where the starting position of the pieces is “randomized” to make the memorization of openings impracticable. Fortunately, it is also for this reason that I invented Ruvol where “every game” has been calculated to be a challenging one to play.

    HOW IS RUVOL PLAYED?

Ruvol is played somewhat like chess. It is played by two players. It uses a board that is rectangular in shape but contains more number of squares than chess. It has equal number of pieces on each side of the board, where each type of piece moves in distinct ways. However, if the way to win chess is to checkmate the opponent’s king, the way to win Ruvol is to be able to cross a designated line.

But there’s one big advantage Ruvol has over chess: The Ruvol pieces are randomly placed at the start of “every game” which makes it impossible for any clever player to memorize the moves.

A MILLION DOLLAR POTENTIAL IN RUVOL!

The people who play chess will be the same people who will play Ruvol. In my Google search, I learned there are around 800 million chess players in the world. These 800 million players comprise the “Total Potential Buyers” of Ruvol across the globe. At an average profit of just US$3 per set, the “Global Income Potential” of Ruvol then is US$2.4 billion. Assuming only 1% of it will buy each year, the annual global potential sale of Ruvol is US$24M.

I AM LOOKING FOR AN INVESTOR!

For the reason that I don’t have the resources to publish Ruvol on a global scale, you might be interested to have the exclusive right to manufacture and market Ruvol globally under a “licensing agreement.” Or better yet, just “BUY MY COPYRIGHT” and Ruvol is entirely yours. 28. Business Opportunity in Ruvol

I have invented a Board Game [still unpublished and not yet out in the market] that I believe is guaranteed to be as challenging and exciting as CHESS. I called it “RUVOL.”

It is my hope that one day Ruvol may surpass chess as the “Number One Board Game in the World.”

HOW IS RUVOL PLAYED and HOW YOU CAN MONETIZE IT?

I detailed everything in my YouTube video. Here is the link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcqth0m3-R0

    BIG MONEY POTENTIAL IN RUVOL!

It is worthwhile to note that the people who play chess will be the same people who will play Ruvol. In my Google search, I learned there are around 800 million chess players in the world. Even just a small percentage of these 800 million is good enough to earn big money from Ruvol either as an ONLINE GAME BUSINESS or as a PHYSICAL PRODUCT DISTRIBUTOR.

  29. My dad used to play this game

  30. Good solid explanation. The rules you explained are spot-on to the rules I learned in my college days. I agree the music is a little loud and I suggest dropping the music altogether. Nonetheless I say "thank you" and tip my hat for a job well-done.

  31. So I’m a little confused, when you say each heart is one point, does that mean If I take the trick with a 7 of hearts do I get seven points or just the one point?

  32. Watched another instructional video before this on how to play hearts and my head was swimming a bit.

I watched this video and it makes a lot more sense.

  33. Card games and board games make me feel like the stupidest person in the world it takes me so much to catch on. I watched this video 3x

  34. "That's the fourth time you done played that bitch of spades on my ass!"
    -Random Prisoner, "Rounders", 1998.

  35. Really you just need to gift your highest heart card, 2 of clubs, and queen of spades. Get rid of the 2 of clubs because that means you'll play last and have more information than the rest of the players who played before you. That's a tip for round 1 …

In general you want to give hearts away whenever you can't play the leading suit

  36. What happens if a player has all 13 hearts in his first hand? It's a extremely rare case

  37. I kind of agree that players normally want to pass their high-ranking cards. However, sometimes players want to void theirselves of suit (except spades) if they only have three or less cards of that suit.

  38. Hearts is unique on so many levels. Here are the reasons why:

    – In this game, you want to avoid taking tricks containing bad cards in them.
    – You don’t want points.
    – The player left of the dealer doesn’t go first, instead the player with the 2 of clubs does.
