I feel like echoing deeps will find it's way into a lot of stuff.

Even in a deck that wants to discard cards, I don't think taking a card that isn't good enough (Goyf) and tacking on "as an additional cost, discard a card" is going to make it worth it. I would be surprised if Souls of the Lost sees competitive play in any format.
